A. The softside waterbed 9 Legged
Frame has three legs on each side and three in the middle
for extra support on King and Queen sizes. It is built of
heavier gauge metal than the standard innerspring bed frame. The
Full size uses a 7 legged frame and the Twin size uses a 5
legged frame.
B. The softside waterbed Foundation serves to provide a firm flat surface for the
mattress and to raise it to normal bed height. It is finished in
the same outside material as the mattress cover.

he softside waterbed Cover acts as a container for most of the rest of the waterbed. It is
connected to the topper by a zipper.
D. The softside waterbed Foam
Rails are soft and facilitate entry and exit from the bed.
With the cover holding the foam rails in place, the rails
restrict the mattress and hold it in position and shape.
E. The softside waterbed Heater (an option on some beds) provides thearaputic heat. Some
waterbeds without heaters can leave you tired because the water
can bee too cool to provide comfortable sleep. Your body spends
too much energy trying to generate heat. Be SURE to get a
low watt
unit.
F. The softside waterbed Vinyl
Liner provides a catchbasin in case of a leak or improperly
installed waterbed cap and seal. Its not good to get a heater or
heater controller wet. It also keeps the water from leaking on
the rest of the bed or on the floor.
G. The softside waterbed Thermal
Separator is an option used primarily with twin mattress
systems. It allows the use of two separate heaters, one for each
sleeper.
H. The softside waterbed Topper serves several purposes. It provides a comfortable padded sleep
surface. It acts somewhat as an insulator which can
substantially save on heating costs. More padding, better grades
of padding material and the quality of the outside shell
(ticking) vary from model to model.
I. The Zipper on the softside
waterbed connects the topper to the cover sides.
J. The softside waterbed Mattress provides the flotation that you sleep on. It can be two
mattresses (or bladders) as seen above, one mattress, or several
tubes. It can have varying amounts of baffling, or more
correctly fiber that reduces motion and provides extra buoyancy.
K. The mattress Cap and Seal allow
you to fill and drain your softside waterbed mattress.
